 Rear wiper a must for speeds BELOW 40kph!

MS1 unit mounted high on the A pillar under the dash. Multi relay block on top of MS unit, wired to terminal blocks. Bluetooth transmitter attached to RS232 port via right angle adapter.
LED indicated fuse blocks on firewall.
The "stiletto-trap" wiring loom includes relays for the headlights and relay circuit to operate 2 speed wipers.


Custom modified hand brake consul.

MSDroid  running on 7" ACER tablet, bluetooth linked to Megasquirt 1.

 BMW header tank. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Overall shape seemed to fit nicely but the finer details didn't allow it to line up exactly how I would have liked.
I also expected to be able to buy a new radiator cap at a pressure close to what i needed.
NOPE!
Only comes in 2 pressures... too high and WAY too high. I had to disassemble the cap, cut down the spring and test the cap to see if I had guessed the correct length for pressure.
BUGGER!

Pity I had to loose it when I fitted the fuel injection.
GTR185 temperature sensor fitted for use with the Megasquirt.
The aluminium shroud around the radiator is an experiment to see if ducting the radiator air to under the car would reduce the engine bay temperatures. Disconnecting the fuel injection air temperature sensor and leaving it dangle in the engine bay, I was able to record the engine bay temp whilst driving, idling and stationary with the fans running, with and without the shroud in place and keep an eye on the water temperature. Initial data is promising where there was a 15C drop in engine bay temp on a 25C ambient day. Further testing is required.





 I hate working under cars. Lying on the ground because the ramps don't allow a creeper AND getting my belly to fit. Even my eyes can't focus that close anymore. I can't afford a hoist so I have found the next best thing.
Four hydraulic motorcycle lifts. 
One under each wheel. Each one is rated to about 600Kg, so plenty of margin for even a Herald. Recommended retail was AUS$250 but they came on special @ AUS$120.
It was almost a pleasure changing the exhaust!
If you are going to try this at home, please take all precautions necessary to prevent any harm to anyone. I have strengthened where the tyre sits and made wedges to prevent the wheel rolling. The jacks I used have a mechanical lock built in. You should always be safe when jacking off.
